Colorado Engagement Photo Locations

Choosing a location for your engagement session can be challenging. The guide below features some of my favorite engagement photo locations in Colorado.

As a Colorado native I know how gorgeous this state can be. I want your engagement photos to represent both you two as a couple as well as the beauty surrounding you. Some of these locations may be meaningful to you or it might be a location that you won’t be able to visit on your wedding day.

Each location includes the GPS coordinates, nearest town, elevation, permit requirements, helpful information and why I love it. If you have questions about any of the locations that you see or even one that you don’t, feel free to reach out. I’ve often spent time at several locations that I haven’t photographed couples at yet and one of those locations might be the best fit for you. Boreas Pass

Boreas Pass road is spectacular draped in golden aspen leaves or covered in snow making it an excellent Breckenridge engagement location all year long. Located just minutes from downtown Breckenridge, Boreas Pass is one of the best locations for engagement photos in Summit County.

Civic Center Park engagement photos in Denver

Civic Center Park

Most Denver natives have been to the annual Taste of Colorado event at Civic Center Park but chances are you haven’t considered it for your engagement photos. The area provides plenty of background options like colorful flowers and trees to the amphitheater and a view of Denver’s iconic cash register building.

Crested Butte

Crested Butte is one of the most beautiful small towns in all of Colorado, making it an ideal location for colorful engagement photos. The area is full of golden aspen trees in the fall sprawling wildflowers in the summer and tons of snow in the winter.

Maroon Bells

When you arrive it will be clear why this is one of the most photographed locations in all of Colorado. But with the proper permits and planning, Maroon Bells can be one of the best places to capture your engagement session.
