During the winter the reservoir is often quiet which makes it a great place for engagement photos in the area. You can park in the lot onsite and it’s accessible even after snowfall.
You’ll hear nearby skiers and snowboarders through the trees but the area still feels private and serene. There are a couple of cabins onsite that accentuate the perception of a mountain escape despite being so close to town.
