It’s easy to admit that this was the most anticipated day of the year for me. There is something incredibly special about being asked to photograph such an important day for one of your closest friends. Our mutual love of golf brought us together but that’s only the beginning of our friendship. Anna and I have shared all our highs and lows with each other so it seemed only fitting that we could experience this day together as well. Watching Anna’s face light up and her laugh get even louder around Cait gives me comfort that my friend as found her person. Cait has been a joy to get to know and I’m incredibly happy for them both.
Their fall Telluride engagement session was going to be hard to beat. But when I showed up to the rental house on the morning of their wedding I had a feeling it would be quite the day. Anna greeted me at the door with her usual bubbly personality. Cait was upstairs getting her hair done and while quiet at first, her infectious smile came out the moment she put on her dress. Their first look was everything I thought it would be, filled with exuberance and joy.
Cait, Anna, Travis and I ventured over to Boreas Pass for a few photos before making our way to Breckenridge Nordic Center for their ceremony and reception. Their vows literally brought tears to everyone eyes, myself included. Both Anna and Cait owned the dance floor in what turned out to be the party of the year.
Congratulations you two. I love you both and can’t wait to watch you grow together.
