Colorful Breckenridge Engagement | Chloe & Joseph

I recently met up with Joseph and Chloe for their colorful Breckenridge engagement session. We started at Sawmill Reservoir where we were treated to chilly temps but gorgeous bluebird skies. Our next stop took us to Rocky Point along Boreas Pass Road. The wind was so fierce that it nearly blew my hat down the side of the mountain. The light was fantastic so we battled the tough conditions for as long as we could.

I had a feeling that the sunset would be spectacular so we drove down the mountain to the Breckenridge Sawmill Museum for a different perspective. Mother Nature didn’t disappoint with an absolute fire sky. By the time we finished I couldn’t feel my hands but the resulting photo was definitely worth the brutal temps.

They each come from big families so their wedding next year is sure to be full of great moments. I’m looking forward to it!

Boreas Pass is one of my favorite places to shoot so I knew we would end up there but with the weather being unpredictable we started at Gold Hill Trailhead just outside of town. • Breckenridge Boreas Pass wedding | Heidi & Frank

Frank and Heidi live in Minnesota’s Twin Cities and wanted a change of scenery for their special day and decided to have a Breckenridge Boreas Pass wedding with all their family and friends. Can you blame them? As a Colorado native I’m completely aware of how beautiful the state is but I hadn’t experienced the top of Boreas Pass until I Trent asked me to help document their wedding day. After the ceremony downtown we ventured up the dirt road on Boreas Pass despite the cold, windy conditions in search of the perfect Colorado backdrop. Heidi’s face lit up when we asked if she would be willing to climb on top of the deserted box car at the top of the mountain. Shortly after they…
