Fall Engagement in Breckenridge | Diana & Eric

Eric and Diana recently moved to Colorado from the east coast. For their fall engagement in Breckenridge I took them to one of the best locations for fall colors photos in all of Summit County, Boreas Pass. We enjoyed a beer in town before exploring all of the colorful aspen trees that line Boreas Pass Road.

We chased the sun, unsuccessfully, twice up the mountain at the summit of the pass. I’m pretty sure all three of us are still catching our breath. Thankfully the views make up for the lack of oxygen at that altitude. Watching the sun set over the Tenmile Range is just one of the reasons that I love Breckenridge and Boreas Pass for engagement photos.

They’re getting married at one of my favorite venues, Arapahoe Basin, next summer and I can’t wait.

I recently met up with Joseph and Chloe for their colorful Breckenridge engagement session. We started at Sawmill Reservoir where we were treated to chilly temps but gorgeous bluebird skies. Our next stop took us to Rocky Point along Boreas Pass Road. The wind was so fierce that it nearly blew my hat down the side of the mountain. The light was fantastic so we battled the tough conditions for as long as we could. I had a feeling that the sunset would be spectacular so we drove down the mountain to the Breckenridge Sawmill Museum for a different perspective. Mother Nature didn’t disappoint with an absolute fire sky. By the time we finished I couldn’t feel my hands but the resulting photo was definitely…

  • Winter engagement in Breckenridge | Cassidy and Shane

Ever since Cassidy and Shane got engaged on an island in the Pacific they have been looking forward to photos in the mountains. After looking through my engagement location guide, they thought that a winter engagement in Breckenridge would be exactly what they wanted. We met up at Breckenridge Brewery for a drink to get to know each other before the session. I had a wonderful time chatting with them about a multitude of things before we drove up to Sawmill Reservoir to start their session. Breckenridge resort had their snowiest February on record so it was a little tough hiking through all the fresh snowfall but it was gorgeous and quiet so we couldn’t complain. After the sun started to dip we made the…
