Fall Frisco Engagement | Julia & Micah

In a rare showing, Julia and Micah’s fall Frisco engagement featured gorgeous fall colors and a snowy winter wonderland atop Shrine Pass. They’re both in grad school in Nashville and traveled out to Colorado for their session so I’m glad that the weather worked out. It’s not often that a session has two completely different feels but theirs definitely did. We met up in Frisco before venturing over to a few locations that had the last remaining golden aspen trees in the area.

Our next stop required all wheel drive so they hopped in my car for the journey up Shrine Pass near Vail. The area was recently blanketed by the first major snow of the season but that didn’t stop them from embracing the elements. We squeezed every bit of remaining sunlight out of the session before it disappeared behind the snow covered evergreen trees. It’s not often that I get to photograph two seasons in the same day which is why I won’t forget their fall Frisco engagement anytime soon.

  • Fall Riverside Wedding | Mallory & Daniel

Mallory and Daniel’s September Snowmass Cottages wedding last weekend was the prefect representation of their personalities, style and love for Colorado. Daniel enjoys fly fishing and the two of them fell in love with the venue after spending so much time in the area. It has been a busy seven months for Mallory’s parents Richard and Janice as they watched all three of their daughters get married in 2017. During his opening remarks, Richard made sure to note that his only reservation about the cottages was that it was “quite a schlep” from Denver (and the East coast) but after seeing the whole day come together he felt nothing but joy. I knew that their wedding would be fantastic to experience and photograph because their…

  • Breckenridge Boreas Pass wedding | Heidi & Frank

Frank and Heidi live in Minnesota’s Twin Cities and wanted a change of scenery for their special day and decided to have a Breckenridge Boreas Pass wedding with all their family and friends. Can you blame them? As a Colorado native I’m completely aware of how beautiful the state is but I hadn’t experienced the top of Boreas Pass until I Trent asked me to help document their wedding day. After the ceremony downtown we ventured up the dirt road on Boreas Pass despite the cold, windy conditions in search of the perfect Colorado backdrop. Heidi’s face lit up when we asked if she would be willing to climb on top of the deserted box car at the top of the mountain. Shortly after they…
