Winter Frisco Engagement | Bethany & Nick

Bethany and Nick flew in from North Carolina for a little wedding planning and vacation. During their trip we found some time for their engagement session near Dillon Reservoir in Frisco. I brought a couple of beers from my favorite brewery, Outer Range, for us to enjoy as we hiked up to the top of the nearby peninsula to start the session. The views were about as good as the beers. We had a great time there before changing locations to a secret spot for the second half of the day.

I absolutely loved that Bethany brought a gorgeous green dress along that looked fantastic in the snow. They changed one more time before we trudged up the hill in knee deep snow for some twilight images. It was great getting to share some of Colorado with these two before their wedding here later this fall. I’m looking forward to it.

In a rare showing, Julia and Micah’s fall Frisco engagement featured gorgeous fall colors and a snowy winter wonderland atop Shrine Pass. They’re both in grad school in Nashville and traveled out to Colorado for their session so I’m glad that the weather worked out. It’s not often that a session has two completely different feels but theirs definitely did. We met up in Frisco before venturing over to a few locations that had the last remaining golden aspen trees in the area. Our next stop required all wheel drive so they hopped in my car for the journey up Shrine Pass near Vail. The area was recently blanketed by the first major snow of the season but that didn’t stop them from embracing the elements….

  • Colorful engagement in Summit County | Jamie & Chad

It’s that time of the year that we’ve been waiting for. Jamie and Chad’s colorful engagement in Summit County was full of prime leaf peeping. I met up with them at Outer Range Brewing for a beer before getting started with their engagement photos. We stopped at several locations in and around Dillon Reservoir and Frisco over the course of a few hours. Everywhere we went, the golden hues of the trees were spectacular. They brought their dogs, Bailey and Bentley, along for the photos and Jamie’s brother Patrick was a big help keeping track of them. Travis even tagged along to hold a light for me. We had soft, overcast skies for most of the day before an vibrant sunset rolled in to end…
