If you have your heart set on a mountaintop wedding ceremony, San Sophia Overlook should be a strong consideration. Located just steps away from San Sophia Gondola station, guests can access the ceremony site from either Telluride or Mountain Village. Unlike some other mountain top ceremony locations in Colorado, this location offers free gondola access. That can be a significant savings over some other locations in Colorado.
The ceremony includes a wooden deck for the wedding party, grass amphitheatre for up to 2050 guests as well as stone stairs and walkway.

You can pair this ceremony site with one of Telluride's reception venues that includes Allred's for up to 130 guests, Gorrono Ranch for up to 200 guests, Tomboy Tavern for up to 80 guests or Alpino Vino (winter only) for up to 28 guests.

This is easily one of my top three ceremony sites in all of Colorado. The views speak for themselves.
Pro Tip: The Telluride Gondola is free which can save you thousands of dollars compared to other lift accessed ceremony sites that charge per-person. The gondola is free all the time so you and your guests can enjoy it throughout the time surrounding your wedding.
