Walker Homestead Wedding | Meaghan & Zach

One of the best feelings is when a family asks you to return for another monumental celebration. That’s exactly what happened when Meaghan and Zach asked me to come to Iowa City and document their wedding at Walker Homestead this spring. I met Meaghan at her sister Katie and Joel’s wedding back in 2018 near Chicago. Their family was such a joy to be around and we all hit it off so I was honored that Meaghan reached out to me soon after Zach proposed.

Everything felt so easy as I worked with them during their planning and especially on the wedding day. Some of that was definitely from the fact that I had worked with Meaghan’s family before but Zach was also calm and collected. They’re a perfect pair.

The ladies spent most of the morning laughing and drinking mimosas while getting ready. Gavin documented Zach and his friends keeping things light with a few games. Once they saw each other during first look, the day seemed to fly by. The sun even came out right at the celebration point of their ceremony. Their excitement and joy as they walked together back down the aisle is what it’s all about.

I can only hope this isn’t the last time I get to see the Foody, Johnson and Chasan families. Congrats you two and thank you so much for having us as part of your day.
