Jessica’s jaw has to be sore because she seemed to smile for 12 straight hours. If you are lucky enough to know how happy Mike makes her then this will come as no surprise. Their wedding day was a joy to be able to document from the moment that we walked in the door. The bridal suite at the church had great light so Jessica and the ladies decided to get ready there. Meanwhile Travis photographed Mike and his groomsmen getting ready at his apartment. There were a lot of laughs all morning long at both locations. You might even remember these two from their winter Keystone engagement this past winter.
Instead of a first look, Jessica and Mike opted to share a quiet moment together without actually seeing each other. I loved watching Jessica sneak up to the corner and hand over a bag of M&Ms. Nothing calms the nerves better than a little chocolate, right?
Their wedding ceremony took place in the newly renovated chapel at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church. Chapels can often be a cave so it was a treat to photograph a ceremony in a beautifully lit space. Jessica and Mike actually met at this church so it was extra special for them to recite their vows and commit themselves to one another there.
We arrived at The Vista at Applewood Golf Course to screaming light and gorgeous blue skies. Without missing a beat we all jumped in a golf cart and headed out to make a few portraits with them before their reception started. During the reception we heard quite a few hilarious stories and witnessed Mike and Jessica’s stellar dance moves. Everyone had a blast on the dance floor all night before the newlyweds were treated to a sparkler exit on their way to Cabo for their honeymoon. It was a pleasure to be able to document their wedding at The Vista at Applewood Golf Course. Congratulations you two!!
