When I met Katie and Joel last fall we ended up cracking open one of my favorite beers, Goose Island Bourbon County Brand Stout, out of my cellar which is always a good sign. We naturally met up at a brewery to catch up before starting their spring engagement in downtown Denver. I met up with Devan and Joshua at Avanti to start their downtown Denver engagement session but before we did anything we had a drink because, why not? The view is obviously amazing but there is a great vibe going on and food is mouth watering. At Devan’s suggestion we had an arepa from Quiero Arepas that potentially changed my life. Watching Elynor May and Dermot Monks enjoy each other’s company this evening was not only a pleasure to experience but also a joy to photograph as a denver engagement photographer. Their retro engagement session in RiNo was one of my favorites but I’ve also shot other sessions in RiNo. When you combine the interesting locations, amazing light and great fashion that we had to work with you might of thought we were on a movie set tonight.
