I love to laugh and that’s pretty much all we did during Casey and Darren’s Summit County fall colors engagement session recently. I have a great time with couples but these two were especially fun to spend the afternoon with. We hadn’t had a chance to meet in person yet during all of the wedding planning correspondence but it definitely didn’t feel that way.
They made the trip into Colorado just as the high country was bursting with color. We started the day at Sapphire Point Overlook before driving up to Loveland Pass in search of aspens in vibrant hues and more breathtaking backdrops. Lucky for us, we found both. Fall in Colorado is easily my favorite time of the year and I love when couples are open to a little adventure to find sections of colorful aspen trees.
The alpine environment at the top of Loveland Pass was a good change of pace and provided the quintessential Colorado feel for the end of the day. Taking in sunset and twilight at the top of the Continental Divide never gets old.
If their wedding day is anything like this fun filled afternoon I’m in for quite the treat. Thanks for making the trip out to Colorado you two. I can’t wait for your wedding next spring!
