Summer Engagement in Evergreen | Meaghan & Matthew

This week I met up with Meaghan and Matthew for their summer engagement in Evergreen. We started their session by hiking up to Maxwell Falls. Thankfully the spring runoff wasn’t out of control and we were able to climb right up to the waterfall. Meaghan didn’t think twice when I asked her to put her feet in the ice cold water. The rain held off until we got back to the car for a quick change before drizzling on us the the better part of an hour. The sun finally came out and we were treated to a faint rainbow over the ridge.

Matthew and Meaghan were so cute during the session that I hardly had to give them direction. It’s a treat to work with couples like them who are so comfortable together in front of the camera.

They had a great time together hiking in a grove of young evergreen trees before we drove down the hill to Alderfer/Three Sisters Park. Thanks to all of the snow and rain that we received the mountains and foothills are lush and green. The storm clouds created a dramatic backdrop for the end of the session. I’m looking forward to photographing their wedding later this summer.

I had a great time with Felicia and Dan during their sunset engagement in Evergreen last month. We met up at the brewery nearby for a beer before heading over to Evergreen Lake for the first part of their session. They were naturals and we had so many laughs. The sun started to peek through the clouds just as we neared the end of the 15 minute hike to the top of Brother’s Lookout the sun peeked out from behind the clouds. I always love Alderfer/Three Sisters Park because the light can be incredible and it didn’t disappoint. I can’t wait for their wedding this fall at Blackstone Rivers Ranch.

  • Spring Engagement in Evergreen | Josh & Todd

I met up with Josh and Todd for their spring engagement in Evergreen last month. The weather was perfect and we started the day with a hike to Maxwell Falls. The creek was running high so it was a slippery adventure getting to the falls but that half the fun of a location like this. Later we made our way over to Alderfer/Three Sisters Park where we were treated to incredible light all afternoon. These two had a great time together and it was nice to spend some time with them before capturing their wedding later this summer.
