I started off what is always the busiest month of the year in Eagle County for Melissa and Drew’s summer Beaver Creek wedding. I walked in the condo just as the champagne started flowing so I had a feeling it was going to be a great day. While I was up a floor with Melissa and all the ladies, Michael photographed Drew and the groomsmen getting ready.
Following first look near the condo we made our way to the village and boarded the Centennial Express lift to the Beaver Creek Wedding Deck for their on-mountain ceremony. Melissa and Drew ski here all the time so it was a fitting location to express some heartfelt and, at times, hilarious vows to each other. We spent a couple minutes capturing some portraits with Melissa and Drew after the ceremony before heading down the gondola. The wedding reception was held at SaddleRidge at Beaver Creek which is a unique, rustic space on the edge of the village. The venue is charming and unique which allows for some different photos than we see at most receptions. For example I climbed up into the loft for their first dance to incorporate the chandeliers into the photo.
I have to thank Becca from Veils of Vail wedding planning for being so helpful leading up to and during the wedding day. Not only did she do a fabulous job coordinating a great vendor team and making things look fantastic but she also kept us hydrated while we were running around all day. She was the key piece to creating a great experience for all of Melissa and Drew’s guests.
The photos tell more of a story than I ever will so scroll below to see all the images from their summer Beaver Creek wedding.
