Spring engagement in Clear Creek County | Aisha & Shad

Aisha and Shad live on the East coast so for their spring engagement in Clear Creek County I brought them to one of my favorite locations, Guanella Pass. I met them down in Georgetown and we spent the car ride catching up and chatting about their upcoming wedding in Denver.

When we got to the top the views were just as beautiful as always but it was freezing. It was a little early in the season for most of the wildflowers but we did manage to find a few patches that were starting to bloom. The sun hid behind the clouds for the entire session but thankfully we were treated to an epic sunset to cap things off.

I truly believe that the more meaningful the location for an engagement session, the better the images can be. I typically start things off at a bar so everyone can loosen up but since we were chasing light I opted to bring them some beers in a cooler so they could enjoy them during the session. Mallory and Daniel didn’t need any liquid courage and…

  • High Mountain Engagement | Madeline & Chris

The fall colors have finally begun to pop up which was perfect timing for Chris and Madeline’s high mountain engagement session last week. I met these two at Wedtoberfest back in April and anyone who wants to drink beer while they’re wedding planning are my kind of folks. They’re both engineers and have been studying hard for their professional exams so I’m glad we could get them outside for a bit. We met up at the Georgetown Loop Railroad since Chris is a big fan of trains and were lucky enough that the last train of the day rolled by when we were there. After a quick stop in downtown Georgetown we made our way up to Guanella Pass, stoping a couple times along the way…
