Derek and Jen travelled all the way out from their home in Illinois to Colorado so I could capture their mountain resort fall engagement session in Crested Butte. Derek is a photographer as well so he knew they wanted something different for their session than their home state could offer. Crested Butte in the fall is one of my favorite places in the entire country and thankfully we were in town during peak color this year.
We started their session in Washington Gulch and got to visit Gothic Mountain that was covered in vibrant aspen tree hues. Then we headed up to Ten Peaks on Crested Butte Mountain Resort for a picturesque view of the surrounding area. We had the place to ourselves and I enjoyed exploring the area alongside them. I can’t wait to get back to this special place again next year.
