Mountain elopement at Brainard Lake | Cecelia & Jamie

Cecelia and Jamie decided to get married and have a mountain elopement at Brainard Lake since their wedding had to be postponed this year. Like myself, they enjoy the mountains so Brainard Lake was a no brainer. The area has gorgeous views, a mountain lake and quiet forests which all make for the perfect backdrop. I’ve photographed couples here in the winter but this was my first trip to Brainard during the summer months. Although it was overcast, the backdrop was still beautiful. I had a great time exploring the different places around the lake with these two and look forward to their wedding. Congratulations Cecelia and Jamie!

After spending 20 minutes or so near the parking lot, we hiked up the service road to the Red Rock lake. There wasn’t anyone around but us and the freshly snow covered ice created a…
