Loveland Pass Summer Engagement | Aaron & Alesha

When Aaron and Alesha met up with me for their Loveland pass summer engagement session it started to rain but that didn’t stop them from having a a great time all evening. Occasionally we used an umbrella to stay dry and other times we embraced the cool summer rain shower.

They were in Colorado visiting family and thought it was the perfect time to have some photos to celebrate their recent engagement. Aaron and Alesha call Arkansas home so it was a treat for them to experience the Rocky Mountains. We started the session at Meadow Creek Trailhead in Frisco before driving up to Loveland Pass.

Despite the unpredictable weather conditions, Loveland Pass is one of my favorite Colorado engagement locations to photograph couples. We were lucky enough to find a small patch of vibrant wild flowers near the stream before driving up to the summit at 11,991′. The sun finally decided to poke through the clouds and light up the peaks on Arapahoe Basin ski area just as we wrapped things up.

Congratulations you two! Thanks for allowing me to photograph your Loveland Pass summer engagement session.

  • Colorful Engagement Photos in the mountains | Mallory and Daniel

Colorado is known for breathtaking views in the Rocky Mountains and the scenery didn’t disappoint for Mallory and Daniel’s Georgetown and Loveland Pass Engagement Photos earlier this week. Daniel actually proposed to Mallory after one of her piano concerts near the Georgetown Loop Railroad so I was excited to photograph them in a location that meant a lot to both of them. I truly believe that the more meaningful the location for an engagement session, the better the images can be. I typically start things off at a bar so everyone can loosen up but since we were chasing light I opted to bring them some beers in a cooler so they could enjoy them during the session. Mallory and Daniel didn’t need any liquid courage and…

  • Winter Frisco Engagement | Bethany & Nick

Bethany and Nick flew in from North Carolina for a little wedding planning and vacation. During their trip we found some time for their engagement session near Dillon Reservoir in Frisco. I brought a couple of beers from my favorite brewery, Outer Range, for us to enjoy as we hiked up to the top of the nearby peninsula to start the session. The views were about as good as the beers. We had a great time there before changing locations to a secret spot for the second half of the day. I absolutely loved that Bethany brought a gorgeous green dress along that looked fantastic in the snow. They changed one more time before we trudged up the hill in knee deep snow for some…
