Last Saturday I was fortunate enough to photograph Courtney and Noah’s Fort Collins wedding. From the moment that I met with them last fall I knew that it would be a great day because they each appreciated photography so much and provided me the trust that I need to make great pictures. The energy was high from the moment that I walked into the room with Courtney and her “Brosmaids” as they listened to Janet Jackson’s greatest hits on blast while dancing non-stop, only stopping for the obligatory hair and makeup process. Noah on the other hand was calm and collected next door while Travis photographed him and the rest of the guys getting ready.

We all made our way to the Spring Creek Trail just behind the Fort Collins Hilton where they were getting ready for their first look. Noah absolutely lost it when he saw Courtney in her sequin dress and I don’t blame him because she was glowing. These two met while bartending at the Goodman Theatre in Chicago quite a while ago so it was thrilling to see their expressions during their first look.

Their ceremony took place in the newly renovated garden level of the Fort Collins Hilton in front of family and friends from around the country. Courtney descended a staircase above everyone while Travis made one of my favorite photos of the day of her Brosmaids reacting to seeing her. That moment encapsulates their relationships and really stood out to me.

Courtney and Noah were game for whatever we threw at them so after the ceremony we drove out to a trailhead near Horsetooth Reservoir that I had scouted earlier in the week. After hiking a couple hundred yards up the trail in heels and downing some ice cold champagne that I had brought for them, Courtney and Noah climbed up on a couple different rocks for a few photos and I’m glad that they did because it made all the difference in the images.

We made it back to their reception at Club Tico in City Park in time for a few family photos before they turned the Janet Jackson back on full blast and partied the rest of the night. Thanks for allowing us to tell the complete story of your Fort Collins Wedding.
