Colorful engagement in Summit County | Jamie & Chad

It’s that time of the year that we’ve been waiting for. Jamie and Chad’s colorful engagement in Summit County was full of prime leaf peeping. I met up with them at Outer Range Brewing for a beer before getting started with their engagement photos. We stopped at several locations in and around Dillon Reservoir and Frisco over the course of a few hours. Everywhere we went, the golden hues of the trees were spectacular.

They brought their dogs, Bailey and Bentley, along for the photos and Jamie’s brother Patrick was a big help keeping track of them. Travis even tagged along to hold a light for me. We had soft, overcast skies for most of the day before an vibrant sunset rolled in to end the day.

We all had a blast together which is no surprise because I throughly enjoyed spending time with their family at Jamie’s sister’s wedding a few years back. I can’t wait for their Garden of the Gods Resort wedding next summer.

A secret spot was our first spot and the colors were exceptional. After an outfit change we ventured over to Dillon Reservoir for the rest of the evening. Not only were the aspen trees stunning but we were also treated to a great sunset to cap off the session. I can’t wait for their wedding at Piney River Ranch next fall.

  • Winter Engagement in Dillon, CO | Kayla & Scott

I had a great time hiking in the snow with Kayla and Scott for their winter engagement in Dillon earlier this month. They’re originally from the midwest but have come to enjoy exploring Colorado’s high country. I figured they would be game for something more adventurous so I had them meet me at Dillon Reservoir where we trekked out a few hundred yards on the frozen water. A few of the ice fisherman gave us some precarious looks as we marched past them but once out of view, we had practically to whole area to ourselves. We chased a bit of sunlight and hiked along one of the nearby ridges before driving up to Loveland Pass. It’s always chilly and windy this time of the…
