I have been looking forward to David and Xinya’s Colorado ski resort wedding all year. Not only are they two of the nicest people that I’ve ever met but they got married at one of my favorite winter playgrounds, Arapahoe Basin.
While I was with Xinya and the ladies at a cute cabin rental in Silverthorne, Michael drove up to A Basin to meet David where they were getting ready. Before too long we headed up to Loveland Pass for their first look. David’s reaction was priceless and I’m sure it helped convince Xinya that her trek up a steep slope in heels was all worth it.
Their ceremony and reception took place at A Basin’s Black Mountain Lodge. We all rode the lift to mid-mountain for a picture perfect ceremony below the resort’s East Wall. I absolutely love this location because the mountains are so close. It simply feels different than so many other Colorado wedding venues.
The vendor team was a blast to work with on this one. Danielle with Muse Events was the point person from the very get go. She helped David and Xinya plan the wedding and not only catered to their ideas but was the foundation of a great vendor team. Tony from Soundmaster Entertainment was one of the most professional and talented DJs that I’ve seen. Finally, Meredith Smith from Arapahoe Basin is hands down the best venue coordinator that I’ve worked with. She was open to ideas and adapted easily as the timeline changed during the day. I always tell couples to hire professionals and then let them do their jobs. This vendor team worked together so well to create a great experience for David, Xinya and all their guests.
