Meaghan and Matthew’s summer Buell Mansion wedding featured everything from scorching heat to torrential downpours but nothing stopped them from having the time of their lives. It’s fairly common for something to go wrong on a wedding day but they had more than their fair share of challenges.
No matter what it was, Meaghan and Matthew weren’t focused on anything but each other and their guests. Matthew was so selfless that he got soaked more than once shuttling guests between the mansion and tent through some pretty heavy rain. Meaghan was as calm and collected as they come but seeing as though she’s a doctor, it didn’t surprise me one bit. They made the day completely their own and it was so refreshing to see that.
At one point during the reception the gas powered generator went out and there wasn’t an extension cord on the property long enough to reach the mansion, so I called in a favor. Thankfully my future in-laws weren’t busy and my fiancée’s grandfather has more extension cords than he knew what to do with. They dropped with they were doing and brought over 300 feet so we could power the tent lights and DJ’s music setup. Without some quick thinking and their help, the reception might not have happened.
I owe a huge thanks to Mariah from DetailsDetails for all her help on the wedding day keeping things organized. It’s always great to work with vendors like her who create a “team” atmosphere so we can provide the best experience for the couple.
Congratulations Matthew and Meaghan! It was a pleasure being able to capture your Buell Mansion wedding on a wild summer day.
