Summer Wedding in Crested Butte | Sarah & Michael

Summer Wedding in Crested Butte | Sarah & Michael

There is no greater honor than when another photographer asks you to photograph their wedding. Not only is Michael an incredible photographer, but he is a great fiend and also photographs weddings with me a few times a year so this one was extra special. I was able to capture his winter proposal at Devil’s Thumb Ranch and I’m so glad that I had the opportunity to photograph their summer wedding in Crested Butte at Mountain Wedding Garden. The joy of their day comes through in the images so I’ll let that tell the story. Thank you Sarah and Michael for allowing Travis and myself to document your day! Thanks to the incredible team that helped it all come together. Lucky Penny Events, TH Entertainment,…

Wildflower Micro Wedding in Steamboat Springs | Rebecca & Noel

Wildflower Micro Wedding in Steamboat Springs | Rebecca & Noel

Rebecca and Noel had the perfect wildflower micro wedding in Steamboat Springs last weekend. They had 25 of their closest family and friends in attendance to celebrate with them. It was 100% their day as they avoided all the things that weren’t important to them which is something I wish more couples would do. After getting ready separately, they saw each other during first look prior to sharing their vows with each other privately. They jumped in the side by side ATV and drove us out to a field of wildflowers. It was like nothing that I’ve ever been able to photograph on a wedding day. A quick Colorado rainstorm chased us inside for a bit but the sun came out for their ceremony. Noel…

Summertime Engagement in Fort Collins

Summertime Engagement in Fort Collins

I recently met up with Heather and Stephen for their summertime engagement in Fort Collins. They’re getting married later this year at Arapahoe Basin so they wanted some engagement photos near their home in northern Colorado. We grabbed a beer nearby at Rally King Brewing before walking over to the trail behind their house. Thanks to all the moisture this year everything was lush and green. The light was perfect unter the big willow tree that they love and spend so much time at. After a quick outfit change we headed over to Horsetooth Reservoir for the second half of the evening. It was a ton of fun to climb around on the rock formations and find some interesting angles with them. We were even…

Winter Sleigh Ride Proposal in Breckenridge | Jake & Avery

Winter Sleigh Ride Proposal in Breckenridge | Jake & Avery

Jake has been planning the perfect proposal for a few months. With Ruby, the horse, looking on during their sleigh ride in Breckenridge, he got down on one knee and asked Avery to marry him. Of course, she said yes. We had worked out a plan for me to tag along as an advertising photographer working for the sleigh ride company. It was a complete surprise to Avery and everything went off without a hitch. Jake had some friends set up a cute spot in the snow along the route beforehand and had champagne, flowers and chocolates waiting back in the sleigh. It’s always a treat to be able to both witness and capture such a special moment. Congratulations you two!!

Winter Engagement in Summit County | Nicole & Brett

Winter Engagement in Summit County | Nicole & Brett

I had a great time with Nicole and Brett for their winter engagement in Summit County recently. They flew in from Los Angeles to do some wedding planning and we were able to get their session in while they were here. It was a chilly afternoon but the bluebird sky made up for it all. We started over at Dillon Reservoir and had the frozen water all to ourselves. The view of the Tenmile Range never disappoints. Before it got too late, we drove up to Loveland Pass for the rest of the day. It actually felt warmer up at 11,991′ than it did down in the valley so Nicole was able to break out a few dresses that looked great against the snow. Perfect…

2020-2022 in Review | Behind the Scenes

2020-2022 in Review | Behind the Scenes

The past three years since the start of the pandemic have all just blended together. So much has changed since Mid march 2020 when I was photographing an engagement session and the world began to shut down. Little did I know at the time, but we would only capture two full weddings that year. While it was incredibly difficult the past three seasons dealing with all of the cancellations and reschedules, it is rewarding to look at how far we’ve all come since that point. I’ve been fortunate to work with so many amazing couples and colleagues these past few years. Travis, Michael, Trent, Amy, Amanda and David have been instrumental to the success of each and every wedding day. Couples have brought us to…

Fall Colors Engagement near Frisco | Danielle & Gabe

Fall Colors Engagement near Frisco | Danielle & Gabe

Colorado was showing off for Danielle and Gabe’s fall colors engagement near Frisco. I met up with them at Outer Range for a quick beer before we explored the surrounding area. A secret spot was our first spot and the colors were exceptional. After an outfit change we ventured over to Dillon Reservoir for the rest of the evening. Not only were the aspen trees stunning but we were also treated to a great sunset to cap off the session. I can’t wait for their wedding at Piney River Ranch next fall.

Luxury Hotel Wedding in Denver | Jessica & Sambit

Luxury Hotel Wedding in Denver | Jessica & Sambit

Jessica and Sambit’s luxury hotel wedding in Denver at the Four Seasons will be one I’ll remember for a long time. Everything about their day was spectacular but their thoughtfulness for both each other and the people that mattered most to them stood out to me. When Trent and I walked in the hotel, Donnah with Poised Events was getting things set up and informed me that Jessica’s grandmother wasn’t going to be able to attend the wedding. This kind of thing happens somewhat regularly but I knew how important having her grandmother there meant to Jessica after several conversations together. She even moved the wedding date up so that her grandmother could be there. I knew we had to do something so I suggested…

Sunset engagement in Frisco | Cassy & David

Sunset engagement in Frisco | Cassy & David

I had a great time getting to know Cassy and David during their sunset engagement in Frisco. They’re currently living on the East Coast but we were able to get together while they were in town doing some wedding planning. Our first stop took us over to Officers Gulch in Frisco which always offers a good mix of water and wilderness. We even found the last bit of wildflowers in bloom for the season. After an outfit change we drove up to Shrine Pass and were treated to some epic light. The sun was screaming through the clouds and we took advantage of it. The cotton candy sunset capped off a perfect evening with these two. I’m looking forward to their wedding at the Ellie…

Summer wedding in Breck | Anna & Cait

Summer wedding in Breck | Anna & Cait

It’s easy to admit that this was the most anticipated day of the year for me. There is something incredibly special about being asked to photograph such an important day for one of your closest friends. Our mutual love of golf brought us together but that’s only the beginning of our friendship. Anna and I have shared all our highs and lows with each other so it seemed only fitting that we could experience this day together as well. Watching Anna’s face light up and her laugh get even louder around Cait gives me comfort that my friend as found her person. Cait has been a joy to get to know and I’m incredibly happy for them both. Their fall Telluride engagement session was going…
